Ignition is an afterburner design and optimization software made for use with hobby-sized turbojet engines. Originally written as a MATLAB script, it's functionality grew as it was rolled into a standalone MATLAB app. Then, as aspirations grew, it was ported over to Python where development currently aims to integrate the open-source CFD solver OpenFoam along with a custom designed optimizer. Development is spearheaded by Jordan Handy with help from JD Fiore.
